- TASTE OF TRADITION: At the heart of our traditional method is the use of wooden Kolhus—ancient, handcrafted presses that have been used for centuries. The seeds are carefully fed into the Kolhu, where they are gently crushed between two wooden surfaces, ensuring a slow, steady extraction process that preserves the oil’s natural properties. The oil is Gravitationally filtered and sediments rest at the bottom.
- CHOICE OF SEEDS: All our peanut seeds are directly sourced from fields of Gujrat, Rajasthan and Uttarpradesh. This direct relationship not only supports traditional farming communities but also ensures that only the highest quality seeds make it to our production process. After harvesting, our peanut seeds are sun-dried for several days.
- NUTRIENT FRIENDLY: Our traditional wood-pressed white sesame oil preserves the full spectrum of nutrients from the peanut seeds, including Vitamin E, Phytosterol, Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA): Contains a high proportion of MUFAs, which support heart health by helping to lower bad cholesterol levels and maintain good cholesterol. Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFA): Includes essential omega-6 fatty acids that are vital for brain function, cell growth, and overall health.
- STORAGE INFORMATION: For optimal freshness, store in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. We use high-quality food grade plastic bottles to extend shelf life and maintain the oil’s quality.
